Accessing the Chat Room is an easy process if your computer has the appropriate Java software loaded and your internet browser has Add Ons turned on. Let's first just try to access the Chat Room. Log Into Chat Room Steps: 1. Click on the Forum link above. 2. If you are not registered yet for the Forum, then click on the Register link and follow the provided directions. 3. Make sure you are logged into the Forum. 4. Click on the Chat icon which is on the right end of the Menu bar at the top of the Forum page. 5. If you have the correct Java version and your browser has Add-ons enabled, you will be prompted for your userid again. This is the same userid that you used to enter the Forum. Enter the userid and press enter. 6. You should now see the Chat Room and you should be able to type your messages in the box provided at the bottom of the Chat Room window. If you could not get past step 5, do the following: Enable Java Software Steps: 1. Click on Tools on your browser menu located towards the top of your screen. 2. Click on Manage Add-ons 3. Click on Enable or Disable Add-ons. 4. Search for Sun Java Console in the list of Add-ons and click on it. 5. In the Settings area in the lower left of the window click on Enable. 6. Click Ok. Now repeat steps 4-6 in the Log Into Chat Room Steps section. If you still are having a problem getting the Chat Room to appear you may not have the correct version of Java software. To load the correct Java Software version, do the following: Load Correct Java Software Version: 1. Click here to go to the Java website. 2. Click on the Free Java Download button and follow the directions provided. Now repeat steps 4-6 in the Log Into Chat Room Steps section.
